Messy Messy and Funny Faces.

Doran loves eating and he wants to eat everything. Especially if we are eating it, he goes crazy until you share some with him. I give him table food to snack on while we eat dinner and then I feed him baby food. He won't eat baby food if we're eating real food.

I love these progressive pictures of his facial expressions.

His First tooth + 3 more!

Doran got his first tooth on the 23rd and the 3 more quickly followed! He was pretty cranky and feverish with the first one.

We gave him frozen fruit and veggies to gnaw on, which seemed to help. He liked that, especially frozen peaches.

Naturally, I bought him his first toothbrush!

8 months old

I know he's now nearing 9 months old, but here are Doran's 8 month old pictures. As far as size goes, he hasn't really gained weight or gotten much taller, but he is growing! He looks much older than he did a month ago and his hair is coming in fast now! It's crazy how much he's changed. I found this picture when he was just a brand new baby. His hair was dark. Now he is all blonde!

It's crazy how much they change in just a month. From 7-8 months he learned to crawl and is eating a lot more foods!

He is such a curious little guy. Whenever we go out, he is perfectly content people watching.

Good food in the summer.

One of the things I love best about summer is all the good food! Corn on the cob, fresh fruit, and grilling. Doran also really likes gnawing on some corn on the cob.

After seeing my friend Jill eat a very large doughnut on her blog, I had to go to the farmer's market to get a giant doughnut. Seriously, it plagued me. Every Wednesday rolled around and I needed to go get a big doughnut. For some reason, we were always busy. We finally made it there. I almost didn't get it. $5 for a doughnut? But, then I remembered that I had been craving this doughnut every Wednesday for over a month. It was delicious. And worth the $5.

Devin's Birthday

Devin's birthday started out, for me, as a failed birthday cake. I was trying to make fondant for the first time and it just wasn't as easy as it looked online. Luckily I had some rainbow chip frosting and it saved the day. Plus, what says happy birthday more than rainbow chip frosting?

For some reason, the blue fondant turned out, so I did the letters using that.

Doran was very fascinated with the cake.
And the smoke from the candles.

Devin wanted Doran to share in the birthday excitement. He loved his first cake.

After cake and ice cream, we put Doran to bed and headed over to iFLY Seattle for an indoor skydiving experience! Nathan came with us!

Yes, I got the ugliest jumpsuit. Devin got the coolest one. I guess he was the birthday boy.

At the end, the pro-instructor hopped in and grabbed on and took us all the way to the top!

Devin was a natural in there. The only one to do a 360!

Here are our flights. They all say Kristie, but they're not all me.

This one is Nathan.

And this one is Devin

And here is me!

Overall, great birthday! Happy Birthday Devin!!!
