8 months old

I know he's now nearing 9 months old, but here are Doran's 8 month old pictures. As far as size goes, he hasn't really gained weight or gotten much taller, but he is growing! He looks much older than he did a month ago and his hair is coming in fast now! It's crazy how much he's changed. I found this picture when he was just a brand new baby. His hair was dark. Now he is all blonde!

It's crazy how much they change in just a month. From 7-8 months he learned to crawl and is eating a lot more foods!

He is such a curious little guy. Whenever we go out, he is perfectly content people watching.

Good food in the summer.

One of the things I love best about summer is all the good food! Corn on the cob, fresh fruit, and grilling. Doran also really likes gnawing on some corn on the cob.

After seeing my friend Jill eat a very large doughnut on her blog, I had to go to the farmer's market to get a giant doughnut. Seriously, it plagued me. Every Wednesday rolled around and I needed to go get a big doughnut. For some reason, we were always busy. We finally made it there. I almost didn't get it. $5 for a doughnut? But, then I remembered that I had been craving this doughnut every Wednesday for over a month. It was delicious. And worth the $5.

Devin's Birthday

Devin's birthday started out, for me, as a failed birthday cake. I was trying to make fondant for the first time and it just wasn't as easy as it looked online. Luckily I had some rainbow chip frosting and it saved the day. Plus, what says happy birthday more than rainbow chip frosting?

For some reason, the blue fondant turned out, so I did the letters using that.

Doran was very fascinated with the cake.
And the smoke from the candles.

Devin wanted Doran to share in the birthday excitement. He loved his first cake.

After cake and ice cream, we put Doran to bed and headed over to iFLY Seattle for an indoor skydiving experience! Nathan came with us!

Yes, I got the ugliest jumpsuit. Devin got the coolest one. I guess he was the birthday boy.

At the end, the pro-instructor hopped in and grabbed on and took us all the way to the top!

Devin was a natural in there. The only one to do a 360!

Here are our flights. They all say Kristie, but they're not all me.

This one is Nathan.

And this one is Devin

And here is me!

Overall, great birthday! Happy Birthday Devin!!!

Fingers Crossed

Doran goes through trends, where he does one thing repetitively for a about a week. While we were in Cokeville, his thing was crossing his fingers. All the time. He even crossed them to pick things up. I'm glad I was able to capture a few pictures, because it didn't last long.

Utah 2013 - Family

We stayed the night at Jeff's house and Doran got to sleep in Cordin' crib. This is the old mobile that was Jeff's on down through all of kids.

We had a great time visiting with family in Grantsville. For some reason, I only got a picture of Doran with Grandma and Grandpa Cloward on my cell phone. One day I will put all of those pictures on my computer..
My cousins were so great with Doran. It was fun to see everyone!
Doran with Nan and Pop! Thanks for coming!

I just loved Doran's face on this one.

Cousins. I hope these 2 are best buds. Wish we lived closer together.

Utah 2013 - ShayLee's Wedding

I am so glad I was able to be in Utah for ShayLee's wedding. ShayLee and I met when we were 4 years old. We always dreamed and played make believe of our wedding days. ShayLee, thank you for letting me be a part of your special day and for giving me the honor of doing your wedding flowers.

The lighting in this picture turned out horrible, and I can't figure out a way to make our skin not glow. Any suggestions? I'm using Photoshop CS5

Doran like Uncle Jeff really quickly. Glad they came to the wedding.
 Ally and our nephew Cordin.

Bridesmaids: Sarah, Whitney, and myself.

Me and my second Mom, Kim Bell. Thank you for being such a wonderful part of my life.

Tossing the toss bouquet.

Jeff and Ally took Doran and Cordin outside while I was doing bridesmaid things. They got some cute pictures of the boys. Both very curious about grass.
