Doran's Favorite Thing

Doran loves looking at the fireplace. It's his favorite.

Sunshine!

The sun has been shining every now and then so Devin and I have tried taking Doran outside. He hates it. He 

shrieks and squirms and squints.

Stephanie Meyer chose to base her book in the pacific northwest because it is one of the cloudiest areas. It's true, we don't seen sun very often so it is understandable why he has a hard time handling the brightness. Our apartment is poorly lit, which doesn't help the situation. It will just take him a while to adjust to the bright light!

2 month check up

Doran had to start his immunizations at this last appointment. Poor little guy.

Here were his measurements at 2 months:
Height 23.5 inches (62.98 percentile for baby boys)
Weight 12 lbs 8 oz (48.19 %)
Head Circumference 42.5 cm (100.00%)

Yes, he has a big head. And if there was anything higher than 100% it would be.

 Still happy even after having shots. Love that smile.

Door Mat

For those of you that have been to our house, you no doubt know what our door mat says: LEAVE. It came with the apartment and we love it. We really don't mean it, but it is a funny door mat. It will most likely go with us to our next  place too.

The other day though, I did feel bad about our door mat. I opened the door to go check the mail, and this was sitting on the door mat:

Doran's Baby Blessing

This past Sunday was Doran's baby blessing. We were lucky to have many family members come for the occasion  Devin gave Doran a beautiful blessing and Doran looked adorable!

Doran's Second Month

Doran loves bath time! After he gets all cleaned up, we let him swim for a while.

We celebrated Christmas in January because our Christmas present came! We love it and now we can upload all of our pictures of Doran to the computer!

We kept Doran in his newborn clothes for way to long... newborn clothes are supposed to be up to 8 pounds and he weighed much more than that. Poor kid, look how stretched out his pj's were. It was just a hard transition for me to admit my baby wasn't so little anymore.

We celebrated my birthday. 

Went on his first walk outside and was exposed to the sun for the first time. He went to sleep, it was a little too bright for him.

Doran met Charlotte. They had the same due date. Charlotte was born on the 6th and Doran the 8th.
