Fingers Crossed

Doran goes through trends, where he does one thing repetitively for a about a week. While we were in Cokeville, his thing was crossing his fingers. All the time. He even crossed them to pick things up. I'm glad I was able to capture a few pictures, because it didn't last long.

Cokeville

We got to go to Cokeville for my first Pioneer Day Celebration! Which is a big deal in Cokeville. There is a parade, with lots of candy, a little devotional, a lunch (how cool is it that the whole town has lunch together?) and a rodeo. It has become a time for reunions. A lot of the families, like ours, have most of their family members visit during this time. Devin also had his 10 year high school reunion.

All 13 grand kids together, waiting for the parade. When there are 13 grand kids age 7 and under, this is the best you can get.

Boston waiting for candy.

His mom usually beat him out there though.

Doran and Devin at the parade.

Boston and Austin.

Following Grandpa.

Hanging out with grandpa at the Devotional.

Dora's first pony ride (or sit) on Fruitloop, Maggie's Shetland pony.

Doran with Grandpa and Grandma Brower.

Reading with Grandma.

Playing in the sand at Bear Lake. He fell asleep on the boat ride.

Doran finally started showing an interest in food while we were in Cokeville! This was for Apple, Plum, Grape. His favorite. We also made the mistake of giving him ice cream. He wouldn't eat anything for a couple of days after that. No more ice cream.

His favorite toy at Grandma and Grandpa's, a shark.

He also had his first otter pop, and was a pro at eating it! He knew just what to do!

He's on the Move!

I think being around all of his older Cousins helped Doran learn how to army man crawl. Before we left for Wyoming, around the 8-13th he started to push himself forward a little bit. Only for things like cell phones, remote controls, laptops, or computer mouse. On July 29th he finally figured out how to army man crawl! His left arm got stuck a lot at first, but he's a champ now!
Some of his very first attempts. Of course he went for the movies!

He can now go where ever he wants in the house. His favorite place is to head to the bathroom! Even though it is more work, it is a lot of fun to have him crawling. We know a lot more about his interests now. We never realized how much he loved the bath!

First Bubble Bath

Little Man's first bubble bath!

He, of course, had to taste the bubbles.

Hill Family Reunion

We had a blast at the Hill Family reunion! Horse Shoe competition, cherry spitting competition, swimming, boating, minute to win it, family trivia, talent show, and of course great food and great company!

The girls taught Doran how to scoot! This was the very first time he moved forward, for the gum balls! Devin was on his way golfing and I called him and told him to come back! It was a big deal. He went golfing though.

First lake experience!

Matching swimsuits. These 2nd cousins are about a week apart.

Matching pj's!

Baby cousins, missing Oaklee.

2nd cousins, 2 days apart.

These 6 cousins and second cousins are only 3 months apart! Oldest to youngest starting on the left.

And here is a picture of the whole crew!

Way behind

Little one is almost 8 months old and I haven't blogged anything about being 7 months old! And, what's worse is now I can't remember all of the details at 7 months! Never again.

Here are the pictures I took of him at 7 months though!

He doesn't stay put for very long, so getting pictures of him is pretty difficult.

A couple of days after turning 7 months old, he started wobbling forward towards things he's not supposed to have: phones, lap tops, mouse, remote control. You get the picture. This video is one of his first attempts! One good thing about taking digital pictures, is it tells me which day!
