Cloward Christmas Party

Saturday, Devin and I went to the annual Cloward Christmas party. It was a lot of fun!

Stephen, these pictures are for you. They are of Zoey opening her present from you.

This is Scotland, he has grown SO much! Last time I saw him he was just a little guy, now he's an active little guy! So cute!

Allyson got this lovely hat in the white elephant exchange.

It's always nice to spend time with family!

Halloween Festivities!

For Halloween, Devin and I decided to decorate a cake (we've been watching Cake Boss).  Here are pictures from our process.  What do you think of the end result?

3 Cake Mixes, 6 round cakes.

We haven't tried eating him yet... he's just too cool to eat! He lives in a garbage can, in our fridge.  So, everytime we open the fridge we're greated by Oscar!

1 Year

Last week, on October 8th, Devin and I celebrated the "anniversary" of our first date. Devin asked me to go to dinner with him on a Wednesday evening. I said yes, despite the hours of homework and my upcoming trip out of town.

It was a perfect, and simple date. We went to a restaurant here in Rexburg called Puerto Vallarta. After dinner, we drove back to our apartments (we lived in the same complex) where Devin planned on calling it a night. That didn't go like he planned, because we sat out in the truck talking. Time really does fly by when you're having a good time. While we were talking, his roommates made goofy faces (oblivious to me) at Devin. Our roommates kept texting each other about our date, waiting to hear all about it. Finally, I decided I should go inside and was shocked to find out that it was already 11:15!! Devin walked me to the door to say goodnight. Not wanting the night to end, and still having 45 minutes left until curfew, I invited Devin in to watch my homework with me, "Love's Labour's Lost" by William Shakespeare. You know it must be love if a guy is willing to watch Shakespeare with you! It was the perfect first date.

To celebrate this momentous occasion, we went out to Puerto Vallarta again (ironically, we also stopped at the real Puerto Vallarta in Mexico while on our honeymoon). We didn't watch Shakespeare again, but we did finish the night off with a movie!

This is the first picture taken of Devin and I, on October 24, 2 weeks after our first date.

Mexican Cruise!

For our Honeymoon, we took a cruise on the Carnival Splendor to Mexico!
Some of the ship details. The waterslide, the kid area, and the adult swimming pool. Devin and I learned that right after dinner was the best time to go swimming!
The View

The coolest stairs. We're going to have lights like this one day.
Every night, we had a towel creature. The monkey was kind of creepy.

Puerto Vallarta!

Wild Dolphins and Snorkling

In Puerto Vallarta we signed up for a snorkling expedition. We took an hour boat ride out to an island that is a protected wildlife refuge. The water was clear and beutiful! We had a lot of fun swimming with the fishies! This is the bird that pooped on Devin's face while we were riding to the islands.
Snorkling!
Fishies!
The Sand is way pretty!
What is that?!?
Yep! Dolphins! Devin and I climbed up to the front of the boat and laid on our tummies as the dolphins swam right under us!
There goes the dolphin!
Mazatlan
The next day we went exploring. I wanted to hike to the light house. It was so hot and humid, but it was very pretty!
We were very tired after the hike up.

We also went boogie boarding in Mazatlan, it was fun!
Cabo San Lucas
Cabo was the pretties of them all, and we had a ton of fun!
First, we went parasailing!
Then, we went jet skiing!
We stopped the jet ski to take a cool picture!
I was pretty obsessed with the sand. It was so pretty!

Leaving Cabo and Mexico.
