The Seattle Gum Wall

On Memorial Day, Devin and I headed to Downtown Seattle to visit Pike's Place Market and the famous Gum Wall there. This is what Wikipedia has to say about the Gum Wall:

"The Market Theater Gum Wall is a local landmark in downtown Seattle, in Post Alley under Pike Place Market. Similar to Bubblegum Alley in San Luis Obispo, California, the Market Theater Gum Wall is a brick alleyway wall now covered in used chewing gum. Parts of the wall are covered several inches thick, 15 feet high for 50 feet.

The wall is by the box office for the Market Theater, and the tradition began around 1993 when patrons of Unexpected Productions' Seattle Theatresports stuck gum to the wall and placed coins in the gum blobs. Theater workers scraped the gum away twice, but eventually gave up after market officials deemed the gum wall a tourist attraction in around 1999. Some people create small works of art out of gum.

It was named one of the top 5 germiest tourist attractions in 2009, second to the Blarney Stone.  It is the location of the start of a ghost tour, and it is a popular site with wedding photographers."

We left some of our own gum on the wall.

Yep, we're expecting! The baby is due December 6th. We had our first ultrasound on Wednesday and the doctor said that everything is looking great! We are also very exited that our baby is going to have 5 cousins the same age!

Devin chewed 4 packages of gum and I chewed 3 packages of gum.
We wouldn't necessarily recommend it. It was sticky, gross, and chewing that much gum doesn't make you feel very well. But, we got lots of great pictures!

Rumor has it that being pregnant is easier on you than chewing lots of gum-----haha. Can I just say I am way excited to be a grandma AGAIN. There will be lots and lots of cousins for them to play with.
