Taking Doran to the Blue Angels

Doran loves all things that involve transportation, which means we knew he need to go see the Blue Angels. It was really hot, but he had fun watching for a while. We went during a practice day so that it wasn't as busy.

A hot Snoqualmie Falls

This has been the warmest, sunniest summer in Seattle. We've loved it. On Saturday, we thought it would be refreshing to visit Snoqualmie Falls. But, everyone else had the same idea. It was packed. And hot. Too hot to go hiking. So we took a few pictures and headed out. We did get some good burgers at a local burger joint though!

Doran's First picnic!

Doran and I went to a beach park today. He is still afraid of the sand, but he would dig in it with a shovel if he was sitting on the towel.

Then we had our first picnic. Peanut butter and jelly, of course. He thought it was fun. As we sat and ate, he waved and blew kisses to everyone walking on the trail.

After eating and changing, he discovered there were rocks close by. His new favorite.

Swings

Doran's favorite thing to do is swing at the park. He has got to the point that he knows we are almost to the park by the landmarks close by the park. To get to his favorite park, we have to go up a windy hill and then as we head down he starts kicking and squealing when he sees the cross walk. You can't even see the park yet, but he knows we are almost there. It always surprises me how smart he is.

We are so lucky to have at least 4 parks in walking distance. We like going to different park (and by we, I mean me. It's nice to get a change of scenery and walk different distances).

This is Doran the first day as we boarded the ship. SO excited and he didn't even know what he was getting into!

Doran was a pro. He watch for a while and then knew just what to do: use the stick to push the puck into the targets. Smart baby.

In Cozumel, we went snorkeling and para-sailing. Snorkeling was fun, but it made me want to go scuba diving! Devin fed the fish cheerios!

The view from the top was beautiful and so relaxing!

Chris held Doran while we went para-sailing. We were excitedly waving to him, thinking he was excited too, but Chris told us he started screaming after we floated away. I guess that would be pretty weird for a little guy to watch his parents fly away.

Dinner

Doran loved our waitress. He blew her kisses, smiled at her, giggled with her. He really liked her. She said it made her want to have a baby.

The maitre d' also really liked Doran. She had a 2 year old at home who she hadn't seen in 6 months. That would be so hard. Doran also really liked her and loved playing with her.
