Swings

Doran's favorite thing to do is swing at the park. He has got to the point that he knows we are almost to the park by the landmarks close by the park. To get to his favorite park, we have to go up a windy hill and then as we head down he starts kicking and squealing when he sees the cross walk. You can't even see the park yet, but he knows we are almost there. It always surprises me how smart he is.

We are so lucky to have at least 4 parks in walking distance. We like going to different park (and by we, I mean me. It's nice to get a change of scenery and walk different distances).

COOKIE!

Doran loves cookies. He is truly my son. Our friend got baptized this last weekend and I made 2 different batches of cookies to take. Doran could not handle the fact that I wouldn't let him have any. He just whined: "Cookie, Cookie, Cookie" So, we let him have his own cookie.

These were chocolate s'more cookies from my favorite blog, Sally's Baking Addiction, in case you were wondering. They were yummy.

He loved that cookie so much, that later that night he decided to learn how to walk in order to get a cookie. He's been walking ever since.

The next time I baked he couldn't even wait for them to get out of the oven! They were muffins but he thought the were cookies.

Chasing Bubbles

Doran has been so restless, we have been taking him and his walker outside to burn off some energy. He really enjoys pushing the walker around and going where ever he wants. He likes going over speed bumps and he likes to go towards the big street.

This particular time, we took the bubbles out and let him chase them.

Dino Pillow

Devin's Mom sent Doran a dinosaur pillow case. Doran knew right away that it was HIS pillow. He doesn't usually like to share it and he likes to go lay his head down on it every now and then. It has actually been very helpful to know when he is sleepy. He just grabs his pillow and lays down.

Beans go in ears?

Doran has a new habit of putting everything in his ears. Beans, peas, make up brushes, anything that might fit. He thinks it is hilarious. He laughs and makes noises. I think he likes to hear the difference when something is inside his ears.

We have been trying not to recognize it when he does it, because that just encourages him.
