Devin's Birthday and camping at La Wis Wis!

For Devin's birthday I gave him a tent, ingredients for S'mores and a reservation to a campsite at La Wis Wis on Mt. Rainier. Devin went camping there as a boy and so I thought it would be fun for us to go back!

We tried out our tent in our living room.

We went to a river that had natural waterslides! The slides were pretty fun, but ICE COLD!

Later in the day we went cliff jumping into the river. I've heard some sketchy stories about this cliff and previous Hill experiences there... But we kept it pg. The picture doesn't do it justice, but it was really high! The water was FREEZING, so we only jumped once.

Devin and I braved the crowds this weekend to go watch the Blue Angel's airshow. They close of all of I-90 and we got to go out onto the freeway and watch from the bridge! It was a pretty cool show!

It's crazy how close the fly!

This plane did some stunts before the Blue Angels came out. All the twirling and diving he did was crazy! He would even turn off his engine and stall for awhile. Scary!

It was FINALLY sunny this weekend. It was nice to see the blue sky. We took advantage of the nice weather went to Mercer Island and explored a park. Lake Washington is really beautiful. You can see Downtown Bellevue when you look to one side and Downtown Seattle from the other.

We sat out on the docks and dreamed of having a Yacht one day... what do you dream of?

That would be the life.

4th of July Weekend!

We went to Vancouver for the 4th of July weekend. It was a fun trip. I went and got a pedicure with my Mom. Devin stayed at home with the boys and played Band Hero. Later on Saturday we went down to Fort Vancouver and the Vancouver Farmer's Market. It was fun to explore the Fort, plus they had awesome spots for picture taking!

We enjoyed BBQ'ing, fireworks, and visiting our family and friends.

Jetty Jam!

Last weekend, Devin and I went to the Jetty Jam on Jetty Island, an Island (more like a sand bar) on the Sound right out of Everett, Washington. We had so much fun! We were BURNT by the end of the day though. It was pretty cloudy for most of the day, but the sun did come out at the end!

 We learned out to paddle board!

This was my favorite part. We were out there paddling around with the seals! Best part is, we didn't fall in!

We also learned how to skim board. Devin is much better at that than I am. Our main reason for going was to learn about Kite Boarding. It's like wake boarding, but you're pulled by a kite and wind instead of a boat. We practiced on the ground with practice kites. It was pretty cool. We were hoping to watch the pro's race, but it never got windy enough. Overall, a fun day!
